Philipp Judesis was the son of the Berlin attorney Arthur Judesis (26.04.1889 in Königsberg), who was murdered by the Nazis in Berlin on 10.01.1938. The Judesis family lived at Grunewaldstr. 29 a in Berlin-Steglitz in the early 1930s, and later at Königin-Luise-Str. 22 b in Berlin-Dahlem, prior to Philipp's emigration to Holland. There is a memorial plaque for Arthur at Markgrafenstraße 36 in Berlin-Mitte.
