During the war, Isaac and Bluma Pakter lived in Amsterdam with their three young sons, Levie Simon and Sally. Investigation into the family is still ongoing, but it is known that Isaac Pakter was arrested in October 1942 for trying to transfer his savings to an unoccupied part of France. His wife was home alone with their children from the on; they were taken from the home during the raid of z May 26, 1943. Bluma Pakter, the 3 sons, and many others from Nieuwe Keizersgracht were deported to Sobibor in June 1943, where they were all gassed to death immediately upon arrival.
