In de tijd dat Maurice en ik op de HBS in de Raamstraat in Den Haag zaten, moesten we ook op zaterdag nog naar school. Vanwege de sabbath mocht Maurice verzuimen. Hij kwam echter elk weekend bij mij langs om te horen welk huiswerk we die zaterdag nog hadden opgekregen.
Ik herinner me hem nog erg goed als een rustige serieuze jongen.
