Philipp Judesis was the son of the Berlin attorney Arthur Judesis (26.04.1889 in Königsberg), who was murdered by the Nazis in Berlin on 10.01.1938. The Judesis family lived at Grunewaldstr. 29 a in Berlin-Steglitz in the early 1930s, and later at Königin-Luise-Str. 22 b in Berlin-Dahlem, prior to Philipp's emigration to Holland. Philipp Judesis zat in het eerste transport naar Auschwitz van 15 juli 1942. Hij behoorde tot de groep van 100 'Alte Lagerinsassen' van Westerbork die voor dit eerste transport werden geselecteerd.
