Otto Polacsek was married to Helene Brand. The couple had one child. The family lived in Vienna before the war until they fled to Belgium to escape the nazi's. Helene was caught in Brussels and was deported to Auschwitz. Otto fled to the Netherlands, where he too was deported. Their child survived the war.
