An underground shelter was dug in the woods in the Achterhoek region of Gelderland. The shelter was only 12 square metres in surface area. Thirty-three Jews lived in hiding there. On 27 March 1943 they were betrayed, and 22 of them were arrested and taken away. The rest managed to escape.
