The members mainly came from the Arbeiders Jeugd Centrale (AJC), which they considered too lethargic. At the beginning 1935 the SJV merged with the Revolutionaire Jeugd Bond (RJB) to the Revolutionair Socialistisch Jeugdverbond (RSJV).
