In the late nineties Steven Spielberg took the initiative to record 50.000 interviews worlwide with survivors of the shoah.
These interviews are now held the USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles.
De tweeduizend Nederlandse interviews hieruit kunnen in Nederland worden bekeken in het Kenniscentrum van het Joods Historisch Museum.were recorded by the Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education in Los Angeles.
Approx. 2000 interviews are related to Jews who lived in the Netherlands. These can be viewed, on appointment, in the Resource Centre of the Jewish Historical Museum.
