Esra's father Samuel Majer Jurovics (17.08.1888 in Kosica) was a book dealer and bible researcher. He lived with his mother Edith Jurovics-Wachsner (04.08.1895 in Neisse) and 5 siblings at Wullenweberstr. 4-5 in Berlin Tiergarten until emigration to Brussels around 1937. He then joined the Youth Alijah in Loosdrecht, while the rest of the family moved to Amsterdam on 17.11.1938, then on to London on 01.12.1939. His father emigrated to New York on 09.09.1939. He filled out a registration card for the US Army in 1941, spelling his name "Samuel Meyer Jurovich", after that all trace of him is lost.
