Walter was refugee from Germany.
He arrived in Wieringen on August 21st, 1939 and stayed there until May 1941.
In Germany he was a apprentice watch maker, in Wieringen he studied agriculture. He was a Zionist.
His last address in Germany was Ludendorffstr. 16, Bad Lippspringe.
