Sophia & Jacob de Vries

Sophia and Jacob had no children. She was an accomplished seamstress and he a pianist. He used to play in clubs and give lessons until he went into the Dutch Army. He became ill with serious eczema and Sofia’s heart became very weak, during her marriage. He couldn’t continue with his music after becoming ill, so he also stayed home and made ties with his wife. They were both taken in 1943, from Westerbork they went to Sobibor Camp in Poland.
