Nel and Tilly

Hendrica ('Nel') Werkendam-Emden was his daughter in law, Mathilda ('Tilly') Werkendam his granddaughter, both in hiding in Amsterdam.
David Werkendam was a (council-)communist. In 1925 he was chair of the Landelijke Werkloozen Organisatie (LWO), as of 1927 board member of the Werkloozen Agitatie Comite (WAC).
