November 18, 1907, a child was born to an unwed mother in Memmingen, Germany. The guardianship file revealed who was Hans' father. Hans met his father only once when he was 10 years of age, and never saw him again after that one time.
Hans was born 18, November 1907 in Memmingen, Germany to a 17 year old girl. Maria and her baby (Hans) were under the guardianship of Maria's father. Maria claimed in court that Siegfried Einstein from Memmingen, single, adult, horse dealer was the father of her baby. Acknowledgment of paternity was to be recorded immediately in the birth registry. Hans grew up in Memmingen as the illegitimate child of Maria. Hans met his father only one time when he was 10 years of age and never saw him again. Hans came to the United States in 1928 and the guardianship file was closed. Hans married Mathilda, together they had seven children. Four girls and three sons. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Hans died fifteen years ago at the age of 93.
