Het kind dat de oorlog in tegenstelling tot haar ouders en broer Hartog overleefde was Aaltje Henriette Cohen, geboren 2 mei 1919. Zij vluchtte in 1942 met haar latere echtgenoot Herman Stofkooper naar Zwitserland en verbleef daar tot na de bevrijding in 1945. Zij overleed op 5 februari 1994.
