Sallij Engelander was married. He lived with his family at 5 Zuider Amstellaan in Amsterdam, from where they were forced to move on 7 January 1943 to the home of Miss S. Hekster at 74 Pretoriusstraat, third floor, in Amsterdam. His wife survived the war.
