Sigmund Müller and Bertha Michel fled from Germany to the Netherlands in 1938 or 1939. They settled in Amsterdam, where Sigmund died of cancer in a hospital. The couple had two children. One child managed to survive the war by using a false identity. The other child had migrated to the USA shortly before the war.
