David Danser lived with his family at Hoefkade 1458, in a building with an entrance hall. His sister Sophia Danser lived with her family at no. 1464. Friends who lived in the same complex helped the Dansers to find a hiding-place in 1942. The family was betrayed and arrested in 1943. The person who had sheltered them was also punished. He was held in Vught and Ommen concentration camps for several months and subjected to ill-treatment, after which he returned home. The Dansers were killed in Sobibor.
