Philip Stibbe was the son of Jonas Stibbe and Esther van Praag. He married in 1906 to Dina van Maarsen. Philip and Dina had eight children. The twins Levie and Joseph died in 1911, a few months after birth. The other children were: Jonas, Catharina, Israël, Esther, and Henriette and Barend.
