Emanuel Anthonie van Praagh was married to Dientje Kwetsie. The couple had four children. They lived at 16 Vondellaan in Rijswijk. Their son Jacques van Praagh lived at another address during the war.
Emanuel Anthonie van Praagh was a wholesaler of cattle and meat. He went into hiding with his wife in the house of Henk de Wit, a greengrocer, at 124 Verwersdijk in Delft. They were caught there and some of their jewellery was confiscated. One of their children survived the war.
