Mozes Schnitzler and his family lived in Rotterdam. After the bombardment the family had to leave the city and went to Delft. There the family was ordered to register for transport to Westerbork. During the walk to the railway station in Delft, daughter Saartje stepped into a big nail. With much trouble but with the help of relatives, a doctor was found who took care. Afterwards Saartje could not lift her backpack anymore. A relative who helped her hardly could escape deportation.
