One of the daughters of this family survived the war. She had a non-Jewish husband, who was killed in action at the Grebbeberg during the German invasion in May 1940. He did not know at that time that his wife was carrying their first child.
A few years later the daughter was summoned to report to the Hollandsche Schouwburg together with her parents. Her mother-in-law came to fetch her there; she was carrying her baby in her arms. They managed to escape from the Schouwburg.
