Henriette and Susanna Mesritz were daughters of Andries Elias Mesritz and Saartje de Hes. The sisters were not married and lived together on the Zuideinde in Meppel. They left for Emmen for a short time, but in 1935 they were back again in Meppel. They lived on the Emmastraat 18. They had a needlework studio and produced clothing.
In the night from 2 to 3 October 1942 they were taken out of their house.
