Hartog Simon Blein (known as Harry) was the son of David Blein and Regina Hoogstraal. He was married to Johanna Zilverberg. The couple had a daughter, Regina Bertha (known as Ginie). The family lived in Hardenberg, where Hartog Simon Blein worked at his father's butcher shop at 30 Voorstraat.
Regina Bertha Blein was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. She was 4 when she died.
