On the corner of the Kruis- and Brinkstraat Robertus Dennebooms shop was situated. His shop bore the name '"de Gunst" ("the Favour"). A discription of the Jewish community of Beilen can be found in G.J. Dijkstra (red.) Gemeente Beilen 1940-1945 (Beilen 1999-2001).
Robertus Denneboom was a widower. He and his late wife Leentje Trompetter (1862-1927) had four children. One of their daughters had passed away, aged 31, before the war. Herman lived with his father, Johanna lived with her own family.
