Henri Davidson was a son of Andries Davidson and Rebeca Klein. In 1930 he married Sophia Halmans, the daughter of Jacobus Halmans and Heintje Jacobs, in Amsterdam. Their first child was born in the war. The parents abandoned the child in the hope that it would be adopted in Utrecht. The child survived the war in this way.
