Meijer Prins was the seventh child of Abraham Prins and Grietje Levitus. He was a presser at a dry cleaner's. He married Rozetta Zomerplaag, daughter of Moses Zomerplaag and Henriette Sjouerman, on 29 January 1941. The couple lived in Amsterdam at 145 Valkenburgerstraat, second floor, across form Meijer's parents. Their son Abraham was born on 23 July 1941.
During the raid on 18 November 1942 the family was removed from their home and deported to Sobibor via Westerbork.
