Bertha Heilbron-Cussel was married to Simon Heilbron. They lived at 21 Dr. Rivestraat in Lochem. On 24 April 1943 Bertha Heilbron-Cussel died at Vught concentration camp.

Simon Heilbronn and Bertha Cussel had four children. Three of their children: Sophie Menco-Heilbronn, Henriette Magnus-Heilbronn and Alexander Heilbronn didn't survive the war.
