Joël Dasberg was a custodian-superintendent of the cemetery for the Haarlem Dutch-Jewish community and an attendant for the women's section of the synagogue and prepared the dead for burial at the religious institution Gemieloeth Chassadiem. Joël Dasberg was married. He and his wife lived at 123 Haarlemmerstraatweg in Haarlem.
