Mozes de Levie was the son of Benjamin de Levie and Betje Pinto, and Sophia Goldsmit was the daughter of Philippus Goldsmit and Mientje Zuikerberg. Mozes and Sophia married on 5th August 1893 in Oude Pekela. They had three children. Their son Filip died in 1929 and their son Baruch died in the war.
Addition of a visitor of the website
The mayor of Nieuwe Pekela requested that Mozes de Levie and his wife Sophie Goldsmit be located. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
