The police commissioner of the Records Service in The Hague requested that David Samuel Polak and his wife Betty Polak-Cohen be located, detained and brought to trial. The couple were living at 203 François Valentijnstraat in The Hague. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
