Emanuel Hilversum was married to Betje Fransman. The couple lived on the Trompstraat in Amersfoort, although they are listed as living on the Scherbierstraat as well. Emanuel Hilversum was a street vendor and sold pots and pans from his cart. After his father Nathan Hilversum purchased a city bus, Emanuel worked as a driver.
Emanuel, his wife Betje and their daughter Jentje were caught while in hiding in The Hague and deported to Sobibor via Auschwitz.
