The mayor of Sittard requested that Philip Silbernberg, merchant, and his wife Jenetta Silbernberg-van der Stam, be located, detained and brought in. They were living in Sittard. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. He also requested that the two children of the Silbernberg couple be located. Both children survived the war.

The Silbernberg family was in hiding in Heerlen. The parent got betayed and arrested. Relatives helped the children going into hiding in Belgium. They survived the war.
