Machiel van Dijk was a son of Levie van Dijk and Emalia van Blijdenstijn. The couple also had a daughter, named Eva Debora. Machiel van Dijk got married to Rozette Wolf on 10 February 1910. She was a daughter of David Wolf and Helena Olman.
