Salomon Mossel was the son of Isaac Mossel and Helena Mossel-Kokernoot.
Helena died on 7 February 1941 of an illness. Isaac was diamond polisher, just like his son Salomon. Isaac and Helena lived on the Nieuwe Achtergracht. After the dead of Helena Isaac moved in with the family of his son.
