Alfred Scheidemann arrived in Veenendaal as a refugee on 26 November 1938 from the German Bochum. He went to live with his daughter and son-in-law. Alfred Scheidemann reported to the aliens department of the municipal police in Veenendaal on 8 January 1939. The family lived at 2 Markt, but they moved to 11 Julianastraat on 7 July 1939.
