Emanuel van Cleef, a grocery clerk and son of Jochem van Cleef and Clara Jas, married Dina Swart, the sixth child from the marriage of Marcus Swart and Betje van Beezem, on 18 December 1940.
The couple had a daughter named Clara. The family's last address prior to their deportation was 7 Cillierstraat in Amsterdam.
