Hein Roos was married to Amalia Rosenberg (deceased in 1937 from a cardiac arrest) and had nine children. He had a cloth shop in the Woldstraat nr. 10, which he most likely gave to his son Salamon after his wife's death. He daily went to Staphorst on his bicycle to sell cloth for clothing there. He had bought two graves on the Jewish cemetery in Meppel: one for his wife and one for himself.
