Samuël Izaaks was a son of Israel Abraham Izaaks and Hanna Salomon Turksma.

Samuël moved from Leeuwarden to Leerdam on February 26, 1906 to work as a religious instructor. He did not stay long for the Jewish community lacked the funds to pay a teacher because many people had moved away. On 5 September 1913, Samuël went to Wageningen to work as a religious instructor.
In 1915 Samuël Izaaks was hired in Winschoten as the sexton and kosher slaughterer. He lived next to the synagogue with his wife and son. In addition to his work in Winschoten, he was also a religious instructor in Ter Apel. In February 1940 a reception was held in the auditorium of the Winschoten synagogue in honour of the 25th anniversary of his service. He was presented with an envelope containing money and the two-volume Talmudic dictionary.
