About Carel Daniël Salomonson

Carel Daniël Salomonson was the son of Godfried Salomonson and Marie Rose Asser. His father was the owner of a large textile company in Almelo and a steam-driven weaving mill in Nijverdal. Carel Daniël Salomonson studied law and became an attorney-at-law and local counsel in Amsterdam. On 1 November 1900 he married Mimi Wertheim, the daughter of the well-known banker Wertheim. They lived at Prins Hendriklaan 12. Carel Daniël Salomonson became a widower in 1941.

Carel Daniël Salomonson died on 20 January 1944 in Westerbork transit camp and he was cremated on 24 January 1944. The urn with his ashes was placed on the cemetry Zorgvlied in Nieuwer-Amstel, grave nr. 258.
