Jozef Garson was in posession of a fine collection of postcards. The cards dated to the Edwardian period and came from all over the world. The quality and the stamps would be the envy of any collector. The cards had been sent to Jozef and his brother Hartog Garson by a nephew who was a sailor on a merchantman. He would lose his life when the merchantman went down in the India ocean.
Shortly before Jozef Garson got deported he brought these cards to a neighbour for safe keeping until he got back. The collection survived the war, but is no longer preserved.
