Isaac Sealtiel was a son of David Sealtiel and Sara da Souza Pimentel. He married in 1883 to Sara Loezen in Amsterdam. He had seven children with her. Two of them, Keetje and Rachel, died young. The other children were Sarah, Rebecca, Naphtali, Eva and Samuel. Isaac Sealtiel married for a second time in 1925 with Sophia Meljado. With her he had the here mentioned children and another daughter Keetje who died young.
In his younger years Isaac Sealtiel was a smith. After that he peddled textile with his first wife for many years. After her death in 1922 he stopped doing that and moved in with 0ne of his children. When he remarried he started to peddle selfmade puppets. He peddled on sunday in the Joden Houttuinen and on monday on the Amstelveld.
