Levie Brilleman, son of Joseph Brilleman and Branca Broekman, was born in a family with in total seven children. His brothers and sisters were Naatje, Grietje, Gerrit (deceased in 1934), Hartog, Schoontje and Mietje. He married on 18 June 1902 in Amsterdam to Elisabeth Nordheim, daughter of Juda Nordheim and Marianne Root. Levie and Elisabeth together had 5 children: Juda, Marianne, Naatje, Helena and Max. All children and their mother Elisabeth have survived the Holocaust.
