Maria Erwteman was a daughter of Simon Erwteman and Raatje Stodel. She married in Amsterdam on 7 November 1934 to Marcus Abram, a son of Barend Abram and Lene de Zwarte. The couple had three children.
Maria's brother Jacques and his family was killed too during the Holocaust.
