Hugo Heijmans was the son of Samuël Heijmans and Wilhelmina Frank. He wrote a chronicle on the occupation and the persecution of the Jews together with Jacob Minekenhof, which they kept up until the date of their deportation. The manuscript was later supplemented and completed by H. Wielek and was published in 1947 by the Arbeiderspers under the title De Oorlog die Hitler won (‘The war that Hitler won’).
