Levie Sluijzer married Serline Sluijzer-Finsi, who was born on 11 June 1911 in Amsterdam, on 2 April 1943 in camp Westerbork.
In his book 'Vernietigingskamp Sobibor' Jules Schelvis describes how Levie Sluijzer informed his brother, who could stay in Westerbork, about his deportation to Sobibor. Levie Sluijzer not only made notes during the travel, but also managed to hide these notes somewhere in the railway carriage. Because his brother found and kept these messages, they are now part of the Westerbork-archive which is preserved at the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation.
