About Salomon Sealtiel

Salomon Sealtiel was the second son of Philip Sealtiel and Betje Gootdorp. He married in 1937 for the second time to Rosalie Blanes. The wedding ceremony took place on Sunday 4 April in the edifice "Atlantic" at Westeinde in Amsterdam. After their marriage, the couple resided at Zandstraat 26. They had no children.
Salomon was a dealer in miscellaneous, just as his father. On 24 June 1938 he applied for a vendor permit and on 19 February 1939 he got a standing place at the street market at Uilenburg.

After the primary school Salomon Sealtiel was working as presser of clothing at various firms. After that he provided for himself as dealer of second hand goods. He married ±1933 in Haarlem but the marriags did not stand very long. Early 1934 he was an aid in an eating house at Amstel. A try to become a street-photographer failed and after various employments as coat maker and presser of clothing, he started again as a vendor of second hand goods.

In March 1937, Salomon Sealtiel and Rosalie Blanes married. In 1938 the lived at Zandstraat 26. Rosalie was employed till May 1940 at Goldwyn Mayer Film Co. at Damrak 49, glueing motion pictures and Salomon was working from April 1940 till September 1941 as dock hand for Kokernoot at Jodenhouttuinen.
