Jacob Elburg got married on 6 July 1898 in Hilversum to Elisabeth Zwelheim. Jacob Elburg was a chazzan and a religious instructor. In January 1921 he got a permanent appointment in the Jewish community in Tiel. The family lived at the Westluidenschestraat 7, later at number 32 in a part of the synagogue-building.
