Gerrit Blom was a son of Salomon Blom and Duifje Visjager. He married 31 July 1898 in Zaandam to Marianne Zody, daughter of Jonas Zody and Elisabeth Jochem van Praag.
Gerrit Blom had another sister Anna and two brothers Daniel and Benjamin.
