Rosalie Nieuwkerk was a daughter of Mozes Barend Nieuwkerk and Duifje Koopman Sturkop. She was married to the on 19 July 1858 in Rotterdam born Louis Weijl who died in 1933 and was interred at the Jewish Cemetery in Muiderberg on 16 June of that year.
Isidore Weijl was their son who was killed during the Holocaust. Two other children, Salomo and Dora have survived the war.
She had also a sister Anna who resided for a longer time in the health resort Boschrust in Apeldoorn.
