Charlotte Rechtschaffen was placed in Huize Ten Vijver in The Hague in 1939. Huize Ten Vijver was a reception centre for Jewish children from Germany. Circa 10 May 1940 Huize Ten Vijver was evacuated and Charlotte Rechtschaffen was placed elsewhere. At the The Hague municipal archive there is a small photo album of Huize Ten Vijver (fotoalbum klein 35), containing a picture of Charlotte Rechtschaffen. She loved to dance.
